BARRETT, ELISHA, came to this town in 1804. He married Sally Uran, and raised a family of four
sons, Charles, Elijah, Elisha and Levi. He died in 1828, aged 60; his widow in 1854, aged 79.
BARRETT, ELIJAH, the only one of his father's family remaining in town, m. Emily McWain, and
raised a family of six sons and five daughters. Two of his sons, Charles and Merritt C., enlisted and
died in the service.
