DERBY, BENJAMIN, was an early settler at West Pawlet, near which place he died some years since at an advanced age.
He raised a large family, of whom we knew only Benjamin, Hiram, Warren and Seba, who married Chauncey P. Pepper, all of whom are dead.
DERBY, JAMES C., son of Benjamin, Jr. is of the firm of Derby & Miller, book publishers, New York, and U. S. commissioner to the Paris Exposition.
