LOUNSBERRY, NATHAN M., from Connecticut, 1781; settled near Capt. Benoni Smith’s.  He was seven years in the war of the revolution, serving under Gen. Knox, and the most of the time was attached to the immediate command of Gen. Washington.  He was a man of great physical strength and endurance, and attained the age of one hundred years.  At that age, he held plow for a short time, at a county fair at Rutland. He died in Clarendon.
