LUMBARD, Capt. ABNER, from Brimfield, Mass., 1784; m. Sarah, da. of Asa Andrus, and settled at the village in the cloth dressing business. Modest and unobtrusive in his deportment, honorable in his dealings, he won the respect of all. He died in 1861, aged 88; his wife in 1858, aged 80.
They raised a family of seven children: Chester, Sophia, Fanny, Pamela, Julia, Hiram and Franklin. Hiram m. Fanny, da. of Samuel Potter, and died 1851, aged 41.
LUMBARD, CHESTER, m. Sina, da. of Daniel Clark, and settled at the village in the manufacturing business. He was a man of few words, quiet and
retiring in his manners, and was held in high esteem. He died in 1856, aged 54.
