J. Munsell, Albany
WALKER, Rev. JASON F., from having been principal of
the Troy Conference Academy at Poultney, assumed charge of the Methodist church
at the village in 1853. About his first service was the preaching of the
dedication sermon. He soon became of the "Progressive" school and
under his auspices an independent religious society was soon after organized.
Whatever the defects or excellences of his views and theories, he exerted a
magnetic and fascinating influence over the adherents to his peculiar views. He
removed to Wisconsin
