Biography of

Cassius Frederick Boardman 

Born, Aug. 23, 1846, in Westfield Society, Middletown, Conn.  Left college during Junior year.

1863, Principal of Church Hill Institute, New Canaan, Conn. 
   

 

1863-6, Taught in the New York Institute for the Blind, Fordham, N.Y.

1867-8, Teaching in public schools of Steilacoom, Wash.

1868- , In public schools of Nevada, and of Yuba County, Cal.

For the last few years engaged in agrarian pursuits.  Acquired a competence while teaching, by real estate investments.  Not ambitious for political honors; "perfectly content in mine own sphere."

In 1865 married Mary F. Moore, of Catskill, N.Y.

Children:  ten; three died in infancy.  One married daughter died, leaving three small children.

Address:  Erle, Yuba County, Cal.
