Biography of
 

Daniel Camp Tate

Born, May, 1846, in Middletown, Conn.  Left college during Junior year, since which time they have lived continuously in New York City.
   

 

In 1864 entered the National Park Bank.  After remaining there about two years, took a situation with a firm of bankers and brokers in Wall Street.  With the exception of one change, about the year 1867, connection with this firm was continuous for twenty years, covering all grades from clerk to partnership. 

About 1890, became interested in the financial management of certain corporations, principally railroads, and from then on, have been, and am now, more or less thus occupied.  Hold one of the early certificates issued by the regents of the University of the State of New York, giving authority to append to signature, the letters C.P.A. (Certified Public Accountant).  Am now one of the firm of Patterson, Teele & Dennis, Certified Public Accountants, No. 30 Broad Street, New York City.

In 1865, married Kate Bancker Wright, a New York lady of New England birth and parentage.  No children.  Residence in New York City.
