Born, 1841, in Webster, Worcester County, Mass. Left college during
Junior year.
1864-70, Principal of a Public School in Davenport, Iowa. Rising
rapidly in his profession when suddenly stricken with spinal meningitis.
Came East, and died Dec. 2, 1870, at Redding, Conn. "He was as full
or promise, as he was of goodness."
Married, July 24, 1868, Josie B. Turkington, of Redding, Conn. (only sister
of the wife of Rev. B. A.
Gilman, '65), who has since died.
